Virtual Old Delhi Walk

Retrace your steps of the Old Delhi Walk from the comfort of your living room

Sadly, at the moment we can’t welcome guests to Old Delhi in person. 

Since the start of lockdown in March, our Old Delhi guides have been unable to work.  We have been able to keep paying salaries for some time, but without tourists will run out of money pretty soon.

The guides had the idea of offering live, online virtual tours instead.   Through the magic of a smartphone, the guide captures and narrates for you the life of Delhi streets in real time.   Experience the sounds; meet the characters; interact with some of them. 

We’ve had a good response to our trial runs, and are now offering these walks at the following times:

W Coast USA Time (Delhi time 8:30 am): 8:00 pm | Cost: $7

E Coast USA Time (Delhi time 6:00 pm): 8:30 am | Cost: $7

Sydney Time (Delhi time 9:00 am): 1:30 pm | Cost: AU$10

UK Time (Delhi time 5:00 pm): 12:30 pm | Cost: £5

Europe Time (Delhi time 5:00 pm): 1:30 pm | Cost: €5

How it works

Take your choice of Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp video call or Facebook messenger.  While the guide will be on a phone, we suggest that you set yourself up on a laptop.

You have already done the walk with us, so you know to expect the unexpected.  We hope the signal doesn’t cut out, or that the routes aren’t blocked by a procession on the day.   We aim to start the walk right in the heart of the old city, and finish at Chandni Chowk after about an hour, leaving some time for questions to the guide.
